    Blockaway net: The Basic Idea

    Every time you visit a website, your browser sends a request directly to that site’s server. Network filters work by intercepting those requests and blocking the ones on a restricted list.

    Blockaway net interrupts this chain. Instead of your browser talking to the destination, Blockaway’s servers do it on your behalf. Your browser talks to Blockaway net. Blockaway net talks to the site. The content travels back through that same path to your screen.

    From your network’s perspective, you are connecting to Blockaway net. The actual destination is invisible to whatever filter is trying to block it. From the destination’s perspective, the visitor is Blockaway’s server in whatever region you selected. Your real identity at the network level is absent from both ends.

    The entire thing runs inside a browser tab. No software touches the device. No accounts are created. No settings are saved between sessions.

    Why Blockaway net Works on Sites That Break Other Proxies

    Anyone who has tried a free proxy on YouTube or any modern social platform knows the experience: the page loads but nothing works. Videos do not play. Navigation breaks. The layout exists but the site is non-functional.

    The reason is architectural. Modern websites are assembled from many separate files — not just HTML but scripts, stylesheets, images, and data from API calls — all referenced by links pointing back to the original server. A proxy that only forwards the main HTML page leaves all those links pointing at addresses the network filter will still block.

    The browser tries to fetch them directly, hits the block, and the page loads broken.

    Blockaway net rewrites those links before the HTML reaches the browser, replacing every internal reference with a version that routes back through Blockaway’s own servers. The browser never needs to contact the original domain directly. Everything flows through the proxy, which is why video players actually work and navigation actually functions rather than rendering a broken skeleton.

    The process has four steps and takes roughly fifteen seconds:

    Navigate to Blockaway net. Enter the address of the site you want. Choose a server — US if you need American content, European if you need content from that region. Click go.

    Nothing else is required at any point. The session ends when the tab closes. The next visit starts fresh with no memory of the previous one.

    Adding a server in the middle of every request adds time. The round trip goes from two legs to four: device to Blockaway, Blockaway to destination, destination back to Blockaway, Blockaway back to device. Geographic distance between you and whichever server you selected determines how much time that adds.

    The free version runs on shared infrastructure. During busy hours, bandwidth is divided among everyone using the same server simultaneously. The gap between what the service can deliver under light load versus heavy load is significant.

    Second, what the protection does not cover: everything beyond Blockaway’s server. The connection from Blockaway to the destination website is separate. If that destination does not use HTTPS, the content travels unencrypted on that leg. More importantly, the protection ends at Blockaway’s server — and what happens to data there is unknown.

Data is another potential revenue source. Treating the absence of a published policy as confirmation that no data is retained would be an error.

Screen resolution, browser version, installed fonts, system timezone, and dozens of other configuration details combine into a device signature that is consistent regardless of what IP address appears to be visiting.     The tool is honest about what it is: a fast, frictionless bypass for network restrictions on devices where other options do not exist. Using it within those boundaries is reasonable. Extending it beyond them, under the assumption that it provides more protection than it does, is where the risk becomes meaningful.
