ChatGPT Enables Image Editing on Dall-E by OpenAI!

OpenAI’s DALL-E got a major upgrade. The first version came out in January 2021. Three years later, DALL-E 3 was launched in October. It’s now integrated with ChatGPT, ChatGPT Plus, and ChatGPT Enterprise.

The latest update adds image editing tools. You can use it on the web and mobile. Another new feature is preset style suggestions, like those on Android. OpenAI announced the update on X. You can now edit DALL-E images in ChatGPT on the web, iOS, and Android.

A ‘select’ button lets users highlight parts of images to edit. You can change object designs or add new ones. Undo and redo buttons are also added for usability. Users can adjust image aspect ratio and get new style suggestions. 

Style prompts in DALL-E-3 offer starting points like woodcut, gothic, synth-wave, and hand-drawn. Users choose a style and add it to their image prompt. Then they can decide what else to include.

OpenAI shared on X that you can now change DALL-E pictures in ChatGPT on all devices including computers, iPhones, and Android phones. This lets you modify pictures made with DALL-E right in ChatGPT.

OpenAI is improving its image-generating tool to be more user-friendly. Integration with ChatGPT makes it easier for users to describe image prompts. The latest update allows users to adjust their image results within the ChatGPT interface.

 

OpenAI is also working on addressing trust issues with AI-generated images. They added watermarks and metadata, but these can be removed easily. OpenAI is now working to find a solution to this problem.

What do we think?

We are excited about the new DALL-E 3 update! Now, I can edit images right in ChatGPT, making it super convenient. With the ‘select’ button, we can easily choose parts of the image to tweak. Adding new objects or changing designs is a breeze. 

Plus, the preset style suggestions are handy for sparking creativity. However, we are bit concerned about trust issues with AI-generated images. Although watermarks and metadata help, they can be removed too easily. 

Hopefully, OpenAI finds a better solution soon. Overall, DALL-E 3’s integration with ChatGPT is a big win for users like us!
