(i) Launch command prompt on your Windows P.C. as admin

(ii) Type the following the cmd dialog:

ipconfig /flushdns

Flush DNS With Command Prompt

(iii) Reboot your P.C. to allow the above command to make changes

Well, that is all.

Method 3: Reset Transmission Control Protocol, Internet Protocol

This is another effective way to fix DNS probe error message issue. All you have to do is to reset the TCP, IP using command trick. Simply, access CMD with admin and type the following data as in the order below:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /all

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /renew

netsh int ip set dns

netshwinsock reset

Next, reboot the P.C. Finally, reset the settings of both TCP and IP to fix the DNS probe issue on the system.

Method 4: Modify DNS

Customized DNS is another good alternative to fix any error linked with internet connectivity. Well, a proper DNS server is what you need to improve the internet connection and speed in minutes.

It is generally better to shift the default DNS of your Windows P.C. to Google DNS. Simply, follow the below instructions to do so:

1. Right-click on the icon of network tray and hit Open Network and Sharing Center

Modify DNS- Network and sharing center

2. Next, select your network and Properties

3. Then double click on IPv4 (Internet Protocol Version 4)

4. Select Use the following DNS server addresses

5. Type 8.8.8 in your Preferred DNS server and in the Alternate server, enter 8.8.4.4

Modify DNS

Method 5: Install The Browser Again

In case, none of the above methods are fruitful, reinstall Google Chrome. Then check if the DNS probe issue still persists or not.

(v) Hit the Clear Data option to delete cookies and cache data

Method 2: Modify Settings Of Both TCP And IP

If the above method doesn’t work out, check the error by changing TCP/IP settings from the system preferences of your Mac device.

Here is how to do that:

(i) Go to System Preferences followed by Network

(ii) Choose Advanced option from Wi-Fi/Ethernet

(iii) Shift from Configure IPv4 option to Using DHCP within TCP/IP section
