Starting a new job means figuring out systems nobody properly explains. The Dollar Tree Compass portal is one of them. Most associates discover it exists when they need something specific — a schedule check at 11pm, a missing pay stub on payday, a W-2 during tax season — and then spend time figuring out how it works under pressure.
This guide removes that frustration by covering everything upfront.
Dollar Tree Compass: Three Separate Systems, Not One
The single biggest source of confusion for Dollar Tree associates is assuming everything lives in one place. It does not. Three distinct systems handle different parts of your employment, and understanding which one does what saves considerable time.
Compass handles your working life — shifts, timekeeping, time-off requests, HR tools, and attendance records. Portal address: compassmobile.dollartree.com.
Doculivery handles your pay — current and historical pay stubs, accessible after every payroll cycle. Portal address: my.doculivery.com/External/DollarTree/Login.aspx.
Paperless Employee handles your taxes — W-2 forms for current and prior years. Portal address: paperlessemployee.com/Dollartree.
Each uses different login credentials. Each serves a different purpose. Knowing this before you need something specific means going directly to the right place rather than searching the wrong one.
Dollar Tree Compass: Your Day-to-Day Portal
Two ways in: browser or mobile app. The credentials are identical for both — your WFM username and password — so nothing separate needs to be configured.
First-time login: If you have not yet set a password, the system has assigned a default one. The format is the first four characters of your username in lowercase, followed by the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Change this immediately after your first successful login. Default passwords are not secure and should never stay in place longer than necessary.
What the app does well: Shift checking, clocking in and out, submitting time-off requests. Fast and functional for daily tasks.
What only the browser shows: Full PTO balance, complete punch history going back through your employment, payroll submission records, time edit logs, remaining paid holidays. Any time accuracy matters — verifying a punch, confirming a request went through, checking hours before a payroll period closes — use the browser version rather than the app. The information simply is not all there on mobile.
Your Schedule and Timekeeping
After logging into Compass, the Clock-In Info tab shows your assigned shifts with start times, end times, and station assignments. Availability updates, time-off requests, and shift swap proposals all happen here. Shift swaps require manager approval before they become official — submitting the request is step one, not the final step.
Mobile clocking eliminates the attendance tracking errors that come from manual systems and paper timesheets. Your store also posts a physical printed schedule in the employee area organized by name and associate ID — this should match what Compass shows. If there is a discrepancy, raise it before the affected shift rather than after.
Access Problems: Diagnosing Quickly
- Credentials rejected despite being certain they are correct — caps lock is on. This is the most common cause of failed logins across every type of account. Turn it off and retype.
- Locked out after multiple failed attempts — password reset at compassmobile.dollartree.com/pwm/action/employeeLogin. Provide username, registered email, and security question answers. Reset link arrives by email. New password requires uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
- App not loading or crashing — update it. If the update does not resolve it, the browser version handles everything the app does plus more.
- Page not found or strange redirect — verify the URL character by character. compassmobile.dollartree.com with no variations. Minor URL differences produce pages that look plausible but lead nowhere useful.
- Error message on a correctly typed URL — server maintenance or high traffic. Wait fifteen minutes and try again. No action required.
Pay Stubs: The Right Portal

Compass does not contain pay stubs. Associates who search for them there will not find them regardless of how long they look.
The correct address is my.doculivery.com/External/DollarTree/Login.aspx.
Login credentials here work differently from Compass. Employee ID: first four letters of your name plus the last four digits of your SSN. Password: birth month, birth year, and those same four SSN digits combined.
Inside, select any pay period to open that statement. Download as PDF or print directly. Both current and former employees retain access — pay stub history does not disappear after leaving the company.
W-2 Forms
Tax documents live at paperlessemployee.com/Dollartree.
After logging in, navigate to Tax Documents, select the year needed, and download. Former associates keep access here after separation. If a form for a specific year is not appearing, contact your store manager to escalate to HR rather than waiting and discovering the problem during tax filing season.
Internal Job Applications

Associates pursuing a different role within Dollar Tree — promotion, transfer, or a warehouse position — can browse openings at internaljobs.dollartree.com/idp/Authn/UserPassword. Available roles span Store Associate, Cashier, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, and Warehouse Associate.
For openings at your own location or a nearby store, a direct conversation with the store manager frequently moves faster than the online application process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Dollar Tree Compass be accessed from outside the store?
Yes. compassmobile.dollartree.com works on any internet-connected device. Home, phone, anywhere with a browser.
Why is my pay stub not in Dollar Tree Compass?
Pay stubs have always been on a separate portal. Go to my.doculivery.com/External/DollarTree/Login.aspx — different URL, different login credentials.
What is the default Dollar Tree Compass password?
First four characters of your username in lowercase, then the last four digits of your SSN. Replace it on first login.
Do I still have access after leaving Dollar Tree Compass?
Both the Doculivery pay stub portal and Paperless Employee W-2 portal remain accessible after separation. Compass access ends when employment ends.
The app keeps crashing. Now what?
Update first. If the problem continues, switch to the browser version. It shows more information than the app regardless.
I need a W-2 from a previous year. Where do I go?
paperlessemployee.com/Dollartree, then Tax Documents. Select the year and download. If it is not there, ask your store manager to contact HR.
