Hours before Google I/O, images that allegedly show the new Pixel 9 series have surfaced.

These photos, shared by Rozetked, reportedly show live pictures of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 XL according to Android Police.

Pixel 9 Photos

The details reveal that the standard model will have a 6.2-inch screen, the Pro version a 6.3-inch screen, and the 9 XL a 6.7-inch screen.

According to the report, which uses an unnamed source, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are both the same size. The main difference between the two is in the bezels; the basic model has wider bezels than the Pro version.

The leaked information also mentions that all models in the 9 series can have a 120Hz refresh rate for their screens.

The supposed real photos provide a clearer view of the back panel of the Pixel 9 series. It’s been suggested before that the camera visor no longer extends across the panel horizontally. These new photos seem to confirm earlier rumors, making the phones look similar to the Pixel Fold.

The Pixel 9 might come with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Pro and XL versions are expected to have 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage each.

All models are likely to include the new Tensor G4 chip. According to the leak, the basic Pixel 9 may have a shiny back panel with matte edges. This contrasts with the Pixel 9 Pro, which is said to have a matte back and shiny edges.

The recent batch of live photos adds to an earlier glimpse in April of the Pixel 9 Pro. Initially, it was rumored to have a 6.1-inch screen, but now there’s talk of a 6.3-inch screen instead.

Additionally, following some initial confusion with the images, the concept of a possible Pixel 9 XL emerged in March. It’s said to be the biggest model in the new series, featuring a 6.7-inch screen instead of the earlier speculated 6.5-inch display.

Google is set to hold its I/O 2024 event tomorrow, May 14, at 10 am PT. The event is expected to include some surprises and possibly give us a clear view of the Pixel 9 series, which is planned to launch in the fall.

What we think?

I think the Google I/O event tomorrow will be very exciting. They will show the new Pixel 9 phones with big, clear screens.

I believe the Pixel 9 Pro will look the best because it has smaller edges around the screen. All the phones will be fast and have a lot of memory. People will like the new designs and the powerful chips in the phones.
