Today, Google launched the May Android security update for Pixel phones. This update is minor, as the next big update and Feature Drop is scheduled for June.
The main concern with May’s Pixel update is its availability and delivery speed. The April update caused problems, with some users possibly never receiving it. AT&T customers were left out, and the update didn’t resolve problems from the major March update.
Additionally, there was an extra build in April that Google didn’t officially recognize. It was an unusual month.
For the May update, we hope Google delivers it quickly to all Pixel users and addresses the ongoing connectivity problems. Discussions and online posts about weak cellular connections continue to increase.
