Every day, we get a bit closer to the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, even if it doesn’t seem like it.
A firm release date would make this feel more real. However, as the saying goes, patience brings rewards. And indeed, Rockstar Games really makes us practice our patience.
About four months have passed since the first trailer for GTA VI came out, showing us the characters Jason and Lucia for the first time.
The game will return to Vice City, and fans have even started to figure out what the map might look like using clues from the trailer.
Rockstar is keeping gameplay details under wraps. It’s very possible that they’ll show us the official gameplay sometime in the rest of 2024, with emphasis on ‘official’.
The company is still dealing with the big cyber attack it faced in September 2022.
You might remember that Rockstar Games was attacked by hackers, resulting in more than an hour of development videos, source code, and several images being leaked on the internet.
Even though many of these development videos were removed due to copyright claims after the attack, some still appear online even now.
In fact, some social media profiles focus on posting a short clip daily until GTA VI comes out or a second trailer is shown.
Today’s story is about one of these accounts. The person behind it says, “Sharing a GTA VI leak every day until the second trailer comes out. Day 86.”
To honor the creators of the game, we won’t display the clip here, but it mainly shows Lucia moving through a sunny area and engaging with her surroundings.
Since this clip is from an early phase of development, the gameplay is much simpler than what the finished game will likely offer.
That being said, it’s still got fans hyped.
“I’m so ready for this game,” one replied, while another added, “It’s stunning. The density of [the] texture is [wild].”
Hang in there, GTA enthusiasts. We’ve come a long way already. The gameplay trailer must be just around the corner.
What we think?
I think GTA 6 is going to blow our minds. The game’s going back to Vice City, which is super cool. From the leaks, it looks like there’s a lot of detail and the characters, like Lucia, seem interesting.
Even though we’ve only seen a little, I’m already excited. Rockstar always delivers, so I’m sure the gameplay will be amazing when it finally comes out. Can’t wait to play it!
