Microsoft is eager for Copilot to enhance productivity and is integrating the AI assistant throughout its Office suite. Businesses are gradually accepting AI for daily tasks, though not exactly as Microsoft intended.
Employees are using Copilot to handle routine tasks, effectively turning it into the most advanced technological intern ever.
According to ZDNet, businesses are starting to use Copilot in their operations. Amadeus, a company that develops software for travel, is one example. Its employees have found they do not like using Copilot to search the internet or to help make PowerPoint presentations.
Instead, they use Copilot to transcribe meetings because no one else wants to do it. This way, with no one having to take notes, everyone can fully participate in the meetings without any additional responsibilities.
Amadeus is very happy with this feature and is teaching its employees how to utilize AI. They are not using it to produce art or handle major financial choices; rather, it is employed to record and summarize conversations among employees and to compose emails to each other. Essentially, this sophisticated technology is being used for the simplest office tasks imaginable.
However, it’s a good way to bring AI into the workplace without replacing humans completely. If it takes on all the tasks that people consider a waste of time, employees become happier.
They can focus on their work while the AI handles the tedious three-hour meetings they just endured. Let’s just hope the AI doesn’t start demanding pay and sick days.
What we think?
I think Microsoft Copilot will change how we work. It helps with boring tasks like taking notes in meetings. This means people can focus more on important work and not get tired with small things.
I believe more companies will start using it. But, it must be used carefully so it doesn’t replace jobs. Overall, it sounds like a helpful tool in offices.
