Google is introducing new wallpapers for the upcoming Pixel 9 series. Leaks show a “Swirling Petals” theme. This hints at different color options and confirms a four-device lineup for the flagship series.
According to Android Authority, the “Swirling Petals” theme for the Pixel 9 series is very different from the mineral-inspired designs of the Pixel 8 series.
The new wallpapers have a floral and see-through look. The colors are not too bright but have good contrast. Google continues to offer both light and dark versions of each wallpaper.
A major reveal from the leak is that the Pixel 9 series will have four devices: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This is different from Google’s usual launch of two or three models. It will be Google’s biggest device launch so far.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold was expected to launch earlier this year, but with the new Tensor G4 chip, it will be released with the rest of the Pixel 9 series.
The leaked wallpapers give hints about the possible color options for the Pixel 9 series. There may be four color choices for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, similar to the Pixel 8 series.
However, the fourth color, “Mint,” was added later in the Pixel 8’s life. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold might come in only two colors.

What we think?
I’m excited about the new Pixel 9 series. The “Swirling Petals” wallpapers look beautiful and hint at multiple color options. It’s interesting that Google is launching four devices, including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
The new Tensor G4 chip should make them fast and powerful. I can’t wait to see the full-sized wallpapers and try out the new features. This will be Google’s biggest and most exciting launch yet!
