In 2019, the world saw an explosion of new watches take over the market. In 2020, the market for Christmas shopping will see a more level playing field. The watch industry has shifted towards matching Apple’s yearly release for an Apple Watch. While the product itself hasn’t significantly changed, there are some updates within the product.

If you are someone looking for a gift for a sporty friend, then looking at any of these watches would be your best bet. Let’s break it down to the best options on the market.

Apple Watch

The Apple watch can do everything from checking the time to placing a bet on Unibet Live Casino. Apple is one of the first companies to allow their users to bet, check odds, and market easily, but that’s not the only sports market that it benefits. In terms of physical fitness and training, the Apple Watch is perfect for the athlete that wants to track their workouts.

The tricky part is choosing which series you want to buy. Series 3 costs $169 and owns a GPS, as well as offline music support. Meanwhile, Series 6 is the newest product available and offers SpO2 and ECF. This watch is listed at $399. Apple also released the new Apple Watch SE this year, which is a significant decrease in price at $279. The software is practically the same but for a smaller cost.

Fitbit Versa 3

The Versa is the newly released mid-range smartwatch. This contains a GPS and offline music support. It also features a heart rate monitor. When it comes to all of your exercising basics, this smartwatch contains all of those features. It is also a solid price at around $230, so it’s a perfectly fit, no pun intended, in the middle.

Among items in the tech industries, the Fitbit Versa can collect plenty of data to support a review of your workouts. It all depends on the apps you want to link with it. Along with monitoring your heat, it can measure your skin temperature, oxygen levels, and help with stress management.

Polar Ignite

The Ignite is one of the most expensive options on the market. Some may believe that it is overpriced. One feature makes it stand out from the rest though. The company prescribes workouts and recovery, strength, and flexibility workouts. That takes away the decision making from someone who doesn’t know what to do for the day and just wants to workout. Plus, the watch integrates into the larger Polar ecosystem, so it feels like a real athlete’s watch.

The Ignite doesn’t have music compatibility, which is a buzzkill, but it makes up for it in sports/fitness features. With structured workouts, and day-to-day guidance it would truly live up to its name if it was called a fitbit. It also allows you to add secondary workouts such as core, yoga, and stretching to the mix. This is one of the better products that Polar has released. It’s just a matter of are you willing to pay the price?
